With the advent of customers returning their own items, one
would hope that the number of “claimed returned” items will decrease.
Having said that, there will always be times when we need to
make an item “claimed returned” on our system and I just want to give you a tip
on the procedure.
One of the steps involved in making an item claimed returned
is selecting a date that the item was “returned”.
This needs to be ON OR BEFORE the date the item was
due.
Otherwise the system still thinks it became overdue, which has impacts elsewhere in the background.
So even if the customer doesn’t
know the date it was “returned”, or it was actually returned after the item was due,
please always choose the due date or a date prior to the due date.
See below - the screen defaults to a due date of "NEVER"
Click on the diamond shaped gadget, which brings up a calendar. Select a date, (I always choose the due date because it's right there, and I like to keep things simple) and voila!
